baka
n.
Fool, idiot.
Synonym: aho
bakamono
n.
A stupid person; an idiot.
 
Where "baka" is used as a direct insult, "bakamono is used more frequently as a description.

Idiot; bastard. A simple insult, most commonly just yelled at the target.

Monster; ghost; specter; spirit; demon. Bakemono is broader than any of the possible English translations, covering both physical and spectral supernatural creatures.

A bomb. Applies to both planted bombs and those dropped from planes.
